EXHIBITION COMPETITION– Open to all school students,  last date of registration is 15 October 2010

The group of  Like Minded people with Children formed Dr Raja Ramanna Science Club in Rajajinagar. .  This club inagaurated by Mr. Mahanand Mrutinjaya of ISRO and Krishna Pillai -IIT  on August 15 2008.

The Club named in the Indian nuclear physicist (b. Jan. 28, 1925, Tumkur, India—d. Sept. 24, 2004, Mumbai [Bombay], India), played a key role in the development of India’s nuclear weapons program. As director (1972–78, 1981–83) of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, India’s top nuclear research facility, Ramanna oversaw the country’s first nuclear weapons test in 1974. He also headed India’s atomic energy commission (1984–87) and served as secretary of defense (1990–92). In addition to his work and advocacy in developing nuclear arms, Ramanna held offices in a number of Indian professional societies, including the Indian Academy of Sciences, the Indian Institute of Science, and the National Institute of Advanced Studies.

Dr. Y C Kamala, Professor of Physics-National College- conducted the Final Round Quiz (6 teams- 12 Students , 3 teams from Sardar Patel- Rajajinagar, 2 from St. Lourdes High School-Mathikere, 1 from Cordial High School- Vijaynagar, First and second prize bagged by Sardar Patel High School and Third Prize to St. Lourdes High School.  ( In First Round Quiz  around 750 students from 32 schools participated, Second round 72  students, Third Round 24 Students. Second and third round was conducted by Senior Scientist SS.Avadhani )

In Science Exhibiton around 38 Models from 24 schools has particpated.  Here judges was children and Prof. H R Ramakrishna Rao.  First Prize bagged by Sardar patel, Second to Balamohan high School, Third to Cordial High School.  The yound model exhibitor cosolation prize bagged by Master M Somashekar of St. Lourdes High School.
